ABOUT THE SHOW

“Back to the 20s” is an original work conceived by Bruce Bider. It will be a celebration of the music of the roaring 20s with historical perspective narrated by Philip Harwood. This will include a diverse cast of professionals and local talent in the field and we are sure the experience will enrich our artistic community. South Shore Theatricals, with loyal following, has produced similar revues in the past and has a strong reputation for generating excitement as well as ticket sales.

The show is a live, full feature, cabaret style production of song and dance and will include 40 plus musical numbers from the decade including “Ain’t We Got Fun,” “The Charleston,” “Honeysuckle Rose,” “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” “Ain’t Misbehavin’,” and “Singin’ in the Rain,” to name just a few. The cast and crew will meet live for rehearsal.   All rehearsals and performances will be in accordance with the up-to-date CDC Guidelines for Performing Arts. We will hold auditions on June 13th and 15th, rehearsals will meet 3 days a week beginning June 21st, and we will conclude with two performances on August 8th.
